Calling all art students who have done a Concentration series before/know anything about it!

I started mine off on a weak theme and require as much help as possible understanding what is meant to be achieved in a Concentration so that I can hopefully fix this issue or restart the correct way. I’ve been doing acrylic paintings with black and white mixed with dynamic colors and black inkwork over top, but the subject matter is inconsistent.

Any advice or comments would be more than appreciated! What must be done for an AP Art Concentration to be successful?
