Did you know that when I first found out I was asexual, I STOPPED posting selfies, especially ones with me all dolled up? Why?

Because I thought I’d get responses just like these. But you know what?

Fuck you, and every person like you, who believe a woman, or anyone, getting dressed up is for anything other than their own satisfaction. People like you, who also perpetuate the idea that ace people can never truly be romantic partners, and stigmatize us and minimize our chances at happiness. People like you who internalize the idea that we are broken, unfit for regular human life.

I am pretty. I am ace. And I take selfies for no one but myself.
