“The Star Jet Roller Coaster was a casualty of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. When Hurricane Sandy slammed into Seaside Heights, New Jersey, on October 12, 2012, the roller coaster was situated on Casino Pier, an amusement park in Seaside Heights. Part of the pier collapsed into the Atlantic Ocean. The Star Jet sat at the end of the pier, yet this is all that remains. It was quite an amazing thing to see this very intact roller coaster just sitting in the ocean.”
