Never waste a palette. Smear it on photographs, draw on it, use it to make an impulsive, abstract piece. Invite natural beauty and randomness into your work. These are some simple ones that I made in my sketchebook by smearing my palette onto the page and closing the book. Although it’s less obvious than it is in the mountain piece, the first two images are facing pages.
