I’m honestly not here for a Miles who disregards his race and the important symbolic nature that brings to the table. I’m not here for a Miles who views his blackness as a crutch and a blow against his “character” and identity. I’m not here for a Miles who doesn’t understand the intense emotion and almost tear-jerking delight when we see someone just like us, doing things that we always knew we could, but never had the opportunity. I’m not here for a Miles who spits in the face of the same movement and the same pride that created him.
