I am a Christian and I can tell you this. There is no possible way that God—a being that is the embodiment of love—could possibly frown upon love shared between two people. 

These are my personal opinions. I am not a biblical scholar.

• Jesus never said anything about homosexuality, but Jesus didn’t bring up a lot of things so that’s not the best argument in the world. 
• Nowhere in the ten commandments does it say homosexuality is a sin.
• Leviticus 18:22 “Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.” (NLT) These are the old laws. I mean, there are laws against having sex with a woman on her period, against going to church just after you’ve had a child, mixing fabrics in clothing, trimming your beard, cursing your father or mother, and working on Sunday. Not to mention the umpteen laws regarding who you shouldn’t sleep with like ‘your daughter-in-law’. We don’t abide by these laws anymore. For good reason. They made sense back then, in the limited way these kinds of laws can make sense, but they had a purpose thousands of years ago. Not so much now.
• As for the New Testament verses pertaining to homosexuality, Paul was writing letters to the churches bitching about how they all suck balls. I’m not going to put his words in God’s mouth. Paul also said: 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.” Ummmm, no. 
• Lastly, if God considers homosexuality a sin, then God and I are going to have an issue. He’s going to have to send me straight to hell because I refuse to spend eternity in a heaven where something as pure and honest and beautiful as love is sinful.
