sherlock arriving home after the wedding saying to himself that he did everything he could to make john happy, to make it the perfect day and the perfect wedding, he takes his coat off and stays on the couch thinking of john’s smiles, every single smile he ever gave him on that day, his hug during the speech, the way he held sherlock and their faces were as close as they’ve never been, sherlock kept repeating those images over and over, not letting himself into nothing else on his mind palace except john’s happiness. he doesn’t notice when the sun rises and not even when it sets again.
