Here’s a comic I made about identifying as asexual and aromantic! I made it for an anthology which ended up falling through, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it on Valentine’s Day.
The underlying theme you’ll see among these tasty treats is mint chocolate chip and matcha! I made it with the help of @tastefulace, who I believe is planning to release another aro sweets masterlist on their blog!
A lot of these recipes are totally and completely green. There’s very little white and even less black. But don’t be discouraged! Even if you don’t see a recipe with the exact pride colors of the aromantic flag, you can alter it to suit your needs, and decorate to your heart’s desire!
I plan to release recipe lists for every aro-spectrum orientation I can find! I will have to stop eventually, though, because this week won’t last forever!
you’re not a burden. you’re not a freak. you’re not horrible. you’re not gross. you’re not boring. you’re not incomplete. you’re not a nuisance. you’re not ugly. you’re not a monster. you’re not a weirdo. you’re not annoying. you’re not bad.
you deserve all the support and care in the world. please believe this.
YES!
Ace and aro people part of the LGBTQ+ community (if they want to be) 💛💛💛💛✨
[Jeffrey Marsh: So there’s been this big debate lately; are aro and ace people part of the lgbt movement? Are asexual, aromantic, and some other people under our umbrella? And the answer is…yes! Of course you are! Of course you are welcome. Of course!
And there are two things to remember with that so are ace and aro people part of the community? Yes…if you want to be. Right? I am not ace, I’m not aro and so it’s not up to me to decide who I wanna work with and who I want to align with. But if it’s up to me, I’m genderfluid, yes we need to do work together. We need to band together and of course you’re part of my community.
The other thing to remember is this is not a battle of gay people vs everybody else or trans people vs everybody else. This is like the “we’re better than you”, heteronormative, homophobic, “normal” people that’s in every movie, every ad, every single bit of our culture, which has been dominate for so many years, being dismantled. Which makes me happy. And of course we all need to work together to do that.
So! Are ace and aro people part of of the lgbtQIAA+ community? Yeah. Of course they are. It’s a big tent, it’s a big umbrella. Let’s work together.]
