Hello! I've started writing a fic that I liked a lot in the beginning, made an outline for it and decided to try to publish a new chapter every Sunday. Now, reading through the fic and trying to decide how to continue with it, I find that I am bored with the concept and already thinking of other pieces that I want to start. Should I push through and try to finish or come back to it later?

Hi hun,

Sorry I took so long to reply to this. I know that boredom feeling well. Personally, I find stating another project halfway through can be an absolute death knell for it. Perseverance can be key.

However, if you’ve totally lost interest, and it can’t be salvaged, giving up on a project can be necessary. Really, in the end, you have to think about what makes you happiest: finishing the project or stating something else.

It’s up to you <3
