Beginning last summer Twitter user @fuguhitman began illustrating his personal backlog of bird-bread puns. His first starchy birb was the Sparroll and he claims to have at least 20 to work through. With 9 completed thus far, we have one question for him: why did you wait so long to share these works of punny goodness with the world?
Follow @fuguhitman on Twitter to make sure you don’t miss out on the rest of the breadbird flock and little bonus birbs such as this chocolate chick cookie:
Prehistoric Fantasy Beasts and Pumpkins Knitted Out Of Felt by Alena Bobrova
Alena Bobrova from Shyshyru creates wonderfully adorable and friendly felt creatures and pumpkins, heralding the autumn season with collection of green and earthy toned woollen toys. Petals, leaves and flowers picked from an imaginary mythical woodland are turned into the scales of dragons, dinosaurs and other fantasy beasts, complimenting their soft and colourful bodies which camouflage into nature.
Instead of presenting them as predatory beasts ravaging warriors in the fairytale world, Shyshyru weaves them as sweet and gentle stuffed animals that become a child’s best friend through the adventurous realm of art. Most of the collection of felt creatures are made as an evolutionary fusion of flora and fauna from an overactive imagination, but the resulting miniature figures display a comforting atmosphere in the haunting autumn season, with Halloween knocking at our doorstep. Find them in theirEtsy shop.
