I figured that I would put up a photoset of the progress of my Dragon Loki instead of letting the WIP photos float around my computer for all of eternity. I would have included a page of the original design sketches, but most of them are either lost among ten foot stacks of other sketches in my room, or not worth the effort it takes to put them up.

1. Design sketches, material decisions, color picking, etc (this specific picture was arranged so that I could show people what I was planning to work on. I loosely used the image in the middle of it when I was looking for materials)
2. Shaping of upholstery foam base and glove base.
3. (My personal favorite stage and photo) Addition of tail and horns; posing with suit on to see how everything works together in terms of shape and overall look.
4. Everything finished except for detailing and cleaning up (Eyes, dreadlocks, reinforcement of the teeth, and scales are not yet complete). Getting to this stage involved tons of pattern-creating, improvisation, sewing, and copious amounts of hot glue.
5. Complete!

I was going through my photos and it looked like Dragon Loki (me) attacking people was a common theme. The Red Skull one was a bit different, but it’s one of my favorites.

While in my Loki Dragon, I went on a quest to find all of the Loki cosplayers at the 2014 Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. There were way more than I could have ever hoped for! :D

If any of these cosplayers have tumblrs or other sites for their cosplays, tell me so that I can credit them for their incredible work on here!

This son of a bitch needs eyes and I’m so tired of failing at casting resin so if any of you know a cheap, easily available alternative (or a resin that’s better than regular crafting resin) I’m all ears.

Anyways, he’s practically done with the exception of dry or airbrushed details on the face, the eyes, and whether or not I want him to have dreadlocks on the back of his head.
