Bein’ a bounty hunter isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Sometimes ya get hurt. Sometimes you lose the mark and miss out on a good payday n’ hafta starve til the next big score. Sometimes the memories follow you no matter how far you go to try and get away. Some mornings are tougher than others. Good thing I ain’t the emotional type.

Happy Halloween!

Finally had a moment to do a proper photoshoot for my Rocket Raccoon costume! :) I already know I’ll be tweaking and editing this til kingdom come, but after working on it obsessively for a couple months, I’m ready to take a break and do other things during my off time.

Every part of this costume is made by hand, nothing was outsourced. Even the prison uniform I created from scratch with my own patterns. Rocket was a total labor of love, and what I would consider to be my first successful attempt at realism. I’m quite a ways off from wanting to offer realistic style as commissions, this project really was challenging! I had to step back from it several times and consult my reference pictures and ask for critiques to get me back on track.

I’ll be taking a few more pictures tomorrow, including closeups of the hands and feet, which are actually rather detailed.
