Martin’s eyes are are so complex. So dark blue they often get mistaken for brown.  So expressive that he can replace lines with looks. So full of love that you can tell what he cares about just by seeing him look at them. 💖

Also, look at those eye lashes!!! Gorgeous

Seriously, everyone is so focuses on beautiful Ben that they totally overlook Martin. It really is their loss.

Well, I have always enjoyed the physical contrast between the two

 but this post made me realize that their eye colors are completely opposite, also.

I also found out his eye color is referred to by some fans as Magic. Nice.

Set right after Lapis is finally free? I wanted to draw this after we actually get to see it, but I couldn’t wait that long.

I can’t imagine anyone being okay after going through everything Lapis has. Her gem being cracked and imprisoned in a mirror for thousands of years, finally going home just to see everything has changed and immediately imprisoned again… and then being forced to fuse and trapped on Earth yet again (even if she did take control, Jasper didn’t give her much of a choice)…

It’s too much.

Please help her Steven. I want to see Lapis Lazuli smile again.
