It’s double dragon time!!!!!!!! McCree gets captured being reckless and Hanzo does not stand for the entrapment of his kind, even if he’s rather irked by McCree’s personality.

That’s right, I’m whipping out Gemwatch. Jesse would be the sort to see the “pull” motion of Hanzo’s Fisherman Dance and pretend to be roped in by it. I like to think that they can both swing dance, but Jesse always finds the tackiest dance moves and songs 

I absolutely adore creature AUs and designs. I see a lot of werewolf and dragon McCree and Hanzo; so, to throw in some variation, I did them as the tiger and ox Chinese Zodiac <3 My coloring is a MESS because I was fiddling with layers more than actually painting ahaha

Also, I’ve seen quite a few trans* headcanons floating around of various characters! There are entire blogs dedicated to collecting art, meta, fanfiction, etc of trans* Overwatch headcanons. If I knew what you were looking for specifically, I could make a better rec. list. 

Regardless of all of that, throw away the idea of “canon” being something that endows certain readings of material as the most authentic. While canonical representation is incredibly validating (such as Symmetra being explicitly A-spec in her comic, or Tracer’s reveal as lesbian in Reflections), don’t let anyone take away your perception. Meta, the canon, peopLE WHO ARE REALLY LOUD and RUDE - it cannot stop you from exploring work in your own way. 

There’s no final “truth” or “solution” to characters and works. There’s so much at play: the intent of the original creator, the symbolism in the work itself, and the incredibly diverse experiential standpoints of those who interact with the work. No one is “wrong” or “non-canonical” when it comes to seeing something through their own unique lens. 

You matter. You have a say in how you want to relate to characters. No one can take that away from you. 

Deadlock McCree’s acceptance into Overwatch/Blackwatch:
McCree hasn’t had an easy past and doesn’t want to sacrifice his stealth for anything. Little does he know he is about to be showered with the support that he didn’t think existed for someone like him.

I needed to draw something self-fulfilling. I’m told that I do not belong here, but that’s exactly why I need to stay.

There are so, so many more drawings of the Okami Hanzo skin because I always spend way too much time on figuring out 2D designs before working on the final 3D costume. I also do it to memorize the design for drawing purposes aha.
Note on the booties: I was trying to combine the classic Hanzo design with this one because I like the dragon toes more than the loafers.

Cheesy cowboys are excellent at supporting anxious archers. Made this as a little stressbuster because exams are swamping me right now. 

Because of Mass Effect, I can’t stop drawing space/alien AU McCree and Hanzo.

These are sketches that focus on their physical designs and uniforms rather than my story. Hanzo is an alien race that resembles dragons, and McCree is a human from Earth who has been infected by an alien symbiote, hence the mutated array of eyes on the right side of his face.
