Taking out the ol’ Cecil Baldwin cosplay for Ace Day! UwU beautiful as a jellyfish. I put him together for fun last year, and have grown to realize his color representation of the ace flag, and how I’ve learned to be comfortable with my identity through the cosplay community and the friends I’ve made there. Asexual. Panromantic. Guess my gender and I’ll buy you a digital coke.
Since it’s Ace Day today, I brought out my Cecil Baldwin cosplay because his palette matches the ace flag! These are phone selfies so they’re pixellated as hell I’m so sorry
so I had to make a lamp for pottery and sculpture II so I worked on my project all day today and every time people looked at me weird bc they were expecting like a bedazzled lampshades or some shit and I’m not about that so I got finished and went over to my teacher holding this huge motherfucker
and everyone was just staring at me like “what the fuck is this thing??? what???” and then I plugged it in
I was trying to make sense of a person having tentacles on their body without it just being a lower body graft like a Cecaelia. In terms of basing this design of real octopusses, I was thinking of dumbo octopus for the floppy ears and coconut octopus for the lights/markings. So that I can be lazy with colour, he’ll have working chromatomaphores so that he can change the tentacles to any colour he wants. I haven’t narrowed down a species for the tentacles yet.
I forgot that I never did a proper drawing for my Cecil Baldwin cosplay design [X], so here’s a quick one.
I originally wanted to draw tattoos up my entire arms, and across the upper part of my chest, then wear a translucent-fabric shirt (like chiffron) to show them off through. I never could find the right shirt for that, so I ended up only doing forearm tattoos. I also wanted tattoos up his neck, but couldn’t manage to design ones I liked enough.
