These are kind of old and I can’t remember if I posted them already–sorry! I was practicing expressions with Jim and clothing folds with Seb.
…7th Jim, I feel you.

White & grey coloured pencils, grey pastel pencil and white gel pen on A3 black paper (Daler-Rowney, 150 g/m²).
Cumbersmaug design sketches.
I was struggling to hop on the bandwagon where Smaug is drawn humanized because I couldn’t design him clothing that was interesting enough. So I referenced various Japanese and Chinese garments in an attempt to do something that was not done before. Dragons in more Eastern-style clothing are gorgeous as well. There’s more to come in this series, as I’m addicted to it, and I will most likely color these.
(I ran out of room on the Chinese Armor one whoops)

Started drawing again after 20 years. Damn rusty, but i’m having fun. My husband of 15 years just told me that he never actually saw me draw. He knew that i could, but seeing me doing it is a bit of a shock to him.
well, that’s that.
I was requested to do a tatoolock John where he had a caduceus/Hippocratic staff on his back. I love back tattoo wings, and had to go overboard with them, and also added the design that’s on Watson’s mug to the top of the staff.
There are a lot of sketches because for when I was designing the tattoo and because I couldn’t decide on a pose.

Haven’t posted any traditional art recently :) Here’s Mary as drawn in my black sketchbook .

Made for Comics Workbook
I’m going to be doing a one page comic for Frank Santoro’s new group tumblr about once per week. Here’s the first one. I’m really enjoying drawing these and I’m trying a few new things so it should be a good time. Follow Comics Workbook!

I also drew the face of Michelangelo’s David at school, it took absolutely ages because it’s quite big (hence not fitting under the scanner properly). I’m quite happy with it now it’s finished. The proportions could be a bit better but oh well, at least he’s done now.
